The 3G Energy project will aim at developing a comprehensive management platform of energy efficiency
3Genergy aims to create a highly innovative global energy efficiency management platform, targeting medium and large facilities in both the industry and service sectors, and that will allow managing energy in a multi-functional, multi-level, multi-energy, multi-facility, multi-geography, multi-contract and multi-technology perspective.
This platform will be built on a number of aspects that characterise the development of energy management systems, such as the use of energy resources to control the carbon footprint or the monitoring of consumption and equipment in real time in an intelligent way. Another characteristic to be taken into account in this work is the assessment of consumption of devices in relation to the potential impact of investments in energy efficiency.
In the end, the platform should be able to integrate advanced energy management systems with other management systems (maintenance, quality, environment, production), being accessible through different environments (web, cloud, mobile).
1. System components and architecture
2. Analysis and specification of the solution modules
3. Development of the solution modules
4. Testing and verifying solution modules
5. Pilot implementation and global solution validation
6. Market analysis and business plans
7. Dissemination of knowledge and results
8. Project management
The demonstration pilots identified and selected for the development of the solution are as follows:
Energy management pilot - LIPOR
This pilot will be developed in the facilities managed by LIPOR in Baguim do Monte. LIPOR - Intermunicipal Service for Waste Management in Greater Porto - is the entity responsible for the management, valorization and treatment of Urban Waste produced by the following eight municipalities: Espinho, Gondomar, Maia, Matosinhos, Porto, Póvoa de Varzim, Valongo and Vila do Conde.
This pilot will deploy a remote facility management system targeting a set of retail stores at SONAE Group
These activities have as main objective to ensure the dissemination of knowledge and the results obtained with the realization of the project, and they include the following tasks:
- Development of the dissemination and awareness-raising plan
- Design, development and maintenance of Website
- Scientific and technical dissemination activities
- Dissemination activities for stakeholders
Soon the first dissemination documents produced in the 3GEnergy project will be made available.
INESC TEC, RACE, Dreamo and 2GO OUT Consulting are the partners involved in this project, which began in September 2016 and is expected to be concluded in August 2018
